This winter term The University will be offering a new class, The Internship in Library and Information Studies (INCC 380.3).
The internship will be to introduce undergraduates to professional librarianship, with an emphasis on an academic library setting. Interns participate in seminar discussions as well as appropriate, meaningful work in order to advance projects in the University Library while earning course credit. The course consists of a weekly 2-hour discussion-based seminar (which will include guest lecturers and student presentations) and 70-75 hours on site under the joint supervision of the instructor and a workplace supervisor.
